cross your fingers on this

I had my meeting with my supervisor. She has been copied in on all the financial crap going on but had a couple days off so we needed to catch up. Basically I have lost one family that would not come back even if we fixed all the financial scholarship for them because of delays and rudeness by my department. Another family cut their child care from everyday before and after school to 3 afternoons a week and are juggling the rest of it. My goals set by me and my department to keep my site viable include primarily increasing registrations and attendance.

I admitted I felt like we were at a brick wall, there was something immovable here and the more I pushed the less effective I could become. Just a baggy voice (I am currently reading a book that should help with that). So she asked why I wasn't managing the scholarships. Well what an amazing idea! My site does scholarships more than anyone, I am not sure other sites really advertise them at all. I did tell her if this was a possibility that I wanted a partner preferably in administration of at least one level up from me so there would be no question of preferential treatment in scholarship applications. It is a long shot in a department that has so far stuck to strict hierarchy, but I would love this task!
