Foreign Students in Belgrade

Hi



I am a prospective foreign student (med school) and I want to know what type of budget should I suggest my parents to live decently in Belgrade . Is it a safe city for a fresh high school graduate living by himself first time far from home and most of my friends went to Hungarian U.

Any do's and don'ts , spaces, times and people better to avoid ...all experiences and advice welcome.Thanks.
